'Hi there, Thank you so much for taking the time to reach back to us with your feedback, we do always appreciate it so we can improve our performance. I'm the manager you spoke with the morning of your departure, and I would like to take this opportunity to apologise once again for the honest mistake on our end in regards to your room's cleanliness on arrival. This shouldn't have happened and for that we do sincerely apologise. The team on site and I were immediately worried and willing to do anything needed to help correct this mistake as soon as you brought it up to our attention at the front desk. We offered a room move to a properly cleaned room, this option was declined on your end, We understood that this alternative would have been an exhausting one for you and your group travelling for a long time so we did offer to correct the mistakes in the room and to deep clean it straightaway for you, this option was refused as well. During our chat on the morning of your departure, the full amount of the last night was refunded to you as a token of goodwill on our end and apology. We understand how frustrating this experience must have been, but as discussed, you had stayed previously with us and had a pleasant stay at the time. We wouldn't want for this unusual and unfortunate experience to cloud your time in Edinburgh, we hope you had a brilliant time in the city regardless and that you may give us another chance in the future. We do have an extensive variety of hostels across the UK and Europe and our teams work very hard to provide great customer service, we offer amazing deals when booking directly at our website and hope to have the chance to welcoming you at any of our hostels in the future.
